MODS Error

I'm running Microsoft Office Document Scanner from the Office 2007 suite
on Vista Ultimate. All Service packs and patches are applied. My printer is
a Dell AIO Photo 964. When I try to scan using the Black and white setting
*only* I get an error saying the document feeder may be jammed. I can
use all the other choices (color as b&w, color, grayscale) OK but b&w gives
me the error. Also, if I try changing the scanner to the TWAIN driver, *none*
of the options works. I've tried Google and the only "fix" I could find
involved
adding the scanner filed to the bypass DEP list. I tried that but no change at
all.
The Dell AIO software works fine but I'd like to be able to use the MS
software.

Does anyone know of a real solution?

Any reason you don't use "Color as B&W"? Otherwise you could ask Dell
when they will be updating their drivers.
