In addition to Sonia's comments re; a solution, I'll pass
along some comments gleaned from similar psotings to this
group. Bottom line is that reliable performance of
music/picture shows does not seem to be a PowerPoint
strong suit. We've made many such shows here to
complement training classes. Finally solve it on one PC
and it will be different on pretty much any other. One of
the MVP's here pointed someone to an inexpensive product
that does music/picture presentations with good
reliability from PC to PC. It's called MediaShow and
costs less than $50. The learning curve is very short and
it will even let you import your actual ppt slides to use
as a starting place. Don't get me wrong, we use
PowerPoint extensively here and believe it has no equal
when it comes to presentations. I just gave up fighting
the music/picture/timing dragon (also using 97 at work)
and now use MediaShow for that expressed purpose. Maybe
it will work for you.
