I just installed the 2003 version of Visio and have produced my first
drawings. The shapes are very attractive and look excellent when printing
with a color printer. But, when I attempted to print with my monochrome
laser printer, the shapes were darker where color existed. Dark enough that
the text contained within the shapes wasn't readable. I attempted to use
transparency options to lighten up the color. It looked ok on the screen but
appeared "checkerboard" on the B/W printouts. My printer driver has an
option for "color as black". I selected that checkbox and many of the shapes
appeared totally black. Even the shapes that don't have color present (and
unmodified) - for example the server selections will print with a very black
top with either normal or "color as black". Can anyone offer suggestions?
Has anyone else had similar problems?
