This message is to clarify what I am having difficulty
with. I guess my earlier ones did not give enough info, so
here goes...

I desperately need to get my microsoft 2000 office
program up and running. I have tried and tried to
reinstall office 2000 to no avail. How can I
get this to work?

I am new at all this computer stuff. I am currently
running Micro Soft Windows XP Professional, version 2002.

The error message I keep getting is "Error 1305 Error
Reading From File: D:\PFiles\MSOffice\Office\AW.DLL.
Verify that file exists and that you can access it."

I hope this is enough, I am close to a panic. Thanks for
your help.

There are a number of things that can cause this problem:

- There is a problem with the CD. (dirty or damaged)
- There is a problem with interfering or conflicting
software.
- There is a problem with the connection to the
installation point
where you are installing (for example, a network drive).
- There is a configuration or hardware problem with your
CD-ROM drive.

My first suggestion would be to try cleaning the CD of
any dirt or dust. Also try the install after rebooting
the computer and with no programs running. after that I'm
out of basic ideas.

Hope this helps
