Thanks Charles for your quick reply to my query on Autotextentries

However there are 2 further queries I forgot to mention

1) Once I send the Autotextentries from VB6 to a Word XP document, how do I change them to mail merge fields while also making the file a mail merge document (I will use a separate Word document as Datasource)? Keeping in mind that I am trying to do this inside VB6

2) Should I save the file as a Template or can I leave it as a document? Any advantage in converting to a Template
