more problems installing with XP !!

I have just bought a new PC running XP Home Edtn.

MS Office 2000 Pro will not load from CD becasue XP
Windows files are protected. It asks for XP Service Pack
1 CD to be inserted so I down loaded the 30mg of data and
I still get the same message and it will not load.

Help !

I've been having the same problem (Windows file
protection) but Word 2000 install asks for the Windows
2000 setup disk. This does not make sense - I am running
Windows Pro.

In regards to your question, when looking in the
Microsoft Knowledge Base, I'm sure I saw something
similar to the question you are asking here. Have a look
there.
