Robert, I don't understand how your post is relevant to my communications
with Tillman. Not sure what you mean by "instructed twice now, " as your
first post to me told me that IE was not my problem.
Anyway, on another forum (geekstogo.com), I found the solution:
"...opening
in outlook 2003 tools\options in the security tab change security zone to
internet (from restricted sites)"
As soon as I did this, my problem was solved. Hope this helps someone
else.

I do indeed use Spybot, AdAware, and Panda antivirus and firewall. Can
you
be a bit more specific -- do you mean I should check the settings in IE
and/or Firefox? thnx

I've read the posts from other users that are experiencing the slow
typing effect in Outlook. I never use IE; I use Firefox. So does the
security update/IE issue affect me anyway? My slow typing problem
has
been in place for about two weeks now. The text appearance in the
email body is extremely tardy, it only appears about 10 - 15 seconds
after I type. Would really like to resolve this.
Do you use any antispam tool like Spybot? Just because you don't use
IE
yourself doesn't mean an add-in might not still fill the Restricted
network
zone anyway. Because you use Firefox, you wouldn't normally have an
inclination to check the zone contents. It wouldn't hurt to look with
the
Internet Options applet in Control Panel.
