More sophisticated Macro for Customized Doc

Thanks for the help, I've been able to run a basic "Fill-in" Macro for my
regular doc. I'd like to make it a little more sophisticated though - can I
get the Macro to recognize that there are similar prompts throughout the
document (example: "Company name") and to replace them throughout after one
prompt? Thanks!

Hi sararose15-

From you postings it appears that what you may want to do is create a
Template as suggested by Mark. The template would contain all the standard
content & formatting, and new docs of that nature would be based on it.

The template would also contain FillIn fields or PlaceHolder fields for
inserting variable content in each new document. Those fields can be named
as Bookmarks, and Ref fields inserted elsewhere in the template where that
information need to reappear.

You could also protect areas that typically do not or should not be changed
in the new docs.

Hi Sara Rose:

If you did not understand this answer, get back to us. He's quite correct,
and it's easy, but you may need a little more explanation to get you
started.

Cheers
