more than one of the same resource

is there a way to assign a resource to a task with more than one item. Say i
have a resource that is $1000. For some tasks i need three of these ($3000)
worth, for some i need 10, ($10,000) etc. is that possible.

Click Window - Split and then select a task. In the lower pane (Task Form),
select the resource you want and set the Units value as the multiple, where
300% represents three of the resource. Click the OK button to assign the
resource. Hope this helps.
