-Excel 2003
I have a laptop and a desktop. I created a speadsheet on my laptop. The
floppy drive on my desktop does not work, so I emailed the spreadsheet to
myself, then saved it on the desktop of my desktop. The size of my first
column had over doubled in width somewhere in the transition, which messed up
the other pages, so I fixed it along with some grammer mistakes I noticed,
then I saved it again. (I don't really mind that, it was pretty easy to
fix.) Now here is where the big problem happened. About an hour later I
went back to my desktop and opened the speadsheet now almost all of the icons
are grayed out and I can't edit anything (not even change the font it is gray
to). I thought well maybe I saved it wrong or something. so I renamed and
emailed it to me again, I still couldn't edit it. So I reset my desktop and
tried opening old Excel files (1 of them I had edited 3 days before and 1 I
had not used in a year) it will not let me edit them either. Its like I can
view all of my files (including there formulas but I can't edit them. My
laptop does not have any of these problems. On my desktop I ran a virus scan
I had 3 files infected so I cleaned them, the files did not have anything to
do with excel. I also updated windows like the virus scan recommended for me
to do to keep more protected. My excel still does not work. Help.
