Mouse and Keyboard Events

Brad Reid

Hello,

Is there a way to capture mouse and keyboard events using an office add in.
I would like to produce a stream of keystrokes and know when the mouse if
over a button.

If not with the add in framework are there other apps to capture keystrokes
and mouse positions in windows.

Thanks,
Brad

It's only possible if the application you're using the Add-in with provides
these kinds of events. As far as I know, none of the Office applications do,
so the answer would be no, as far as anything in the Office interop is
concerned.

Using the Windows API you can accomplish certain things. But this can get
rather complex, depending on the application in question (Word is very
difficult, I understand).
