Yes the Alt key works fine.
Before replying to this I did some more research and found a solution to
rename the data HKEY. It seemed to solve the problem. However, after last
night, I have the same problem but worse. I was working on a brochure
template gotten from Microsoft's template site and spent 3 hrs modifiying and
perfecting it. I saved periodically and when I was finished, saved one last
time. I left the doc open and left my computer. I came in this morning to
find my PC had resated to due to a "Microsoft Auto Update". The brochure was
open but my mouse problem from before was back. I saved the brochure again
and closed all programs and restarted my PC. I tried to open the brochure
and I got an XML error and "the doc. cannot be opened" message. The mouse
and Options problem remain. I tried opening the brochure in "Safe" mode to
no avail.
The only thing that change from yesterday (when it was working) and today
was the Auto Update.
I'm getting really frustrated as I have now lost all that work from yesterday.
