Mouse courser hangs in Word 2003

Hello, a user on my network seems to be having a problem,
word 2003 constantly displays the hour glass while she is
typing. The user is
running WIN XP PRO, Office 2003. I have yet to install
WIN XP SP2 on her workstation. I have tried
reinstalling, repairing with no luck. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
