Mouse does not work in document, but does everywhere else

This is for MS Office 2007 using the Vista OS. I can access the tool bars on
the top with my mouse, but cannot move the cursor, select text, or any other
function of the mouse within the document. I can use the arrow keys to
perform functions in the document just fine.

Most likely Word is not activated and has used up its 50 operations or you
have a 30-day trial version that has expired.

This worked for me; I was having almost the same problem with the mouse not
working in an open document, and Word 2007 would hang on exit.

Thank you so much!! I was going beserk not knowing why it worked one day then
the next it didn't! So bizzare, but the registry fix WORKED!!
