Mouse does not work within document

I have seen the posts this error, none of the proposed fixes have worked,
this is occurring with Word 2002 on XP Professional. Same scenerio, cannot
click in document, deleted data key, uninstall/reinstall, cursor moves with
error keys, any additional ideas appreciated.

Thanks for the response, I did delete this data key, it still does not
function correctly.

I have isolated to problem - it is associated with some Add-Ins that when
removed allowed the mouse to function correctly: still working to identify
the ones responsible.

I was able to resolve the issue by deleting the add-in registry keys,

HKCU,Software, Microsoft, Office, Word, Add-Ins

have not been able to trace the cause.
