Mouse doesn't work...

I have Word2002.
Sometimes my mouse doesn't work while I'm using Word and I have to use arrow
keys to move the curser around.

Does anybody encountered the same problem?
Are there anyway to fix this?

Do you have another mouse to test with in order to see if the problem is with the mouse itself?
