Mouse driver download location?

Just bought a Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse 3000, which comes with a CD
that describes the driver as IntelliPoint 6.0 / IntelliPoint 6.1 for Mac. (I
have Windows XP, not Mac.) When my CD-ROM drive decided not to work, I looked
on Microsoft's Download page(s) for drivers, but couldn't find IntelliPoint
6.0 except for a Mac version. There were other IntelliPoint drivers, but none
for non-Mac IntelliPoint 6.0.

Any suggestions as to where to look? I want to deal with the CD-ROM drive
issue separately.

You pointed me to the right place, Herb. Thanks. One question left: how do I
find out whether I have XP 32-bit or 64-bit? It gave me 2 options. I couldn't
find out on My Computer, Properties. Where should I look for that info?

If you don't know whether you have the 32-bit or 64-bit version of XP, you
undoubtedly have the 32-bit version. People with the 64-bit version a) know
it, and b) experience considerable pain in acquiring drivers. ;-)
