Mouse jumps when clicking on the Word03 document area.

Hi all,
Well I have been looking through these forums and I haven’t come across
anything like the problem I am experiencing.
I open a new Microsoft Word 2003 document based on the “normal.dotâ€
template. The cursor is merrily blinking away in the top left hand corner so
everything appears fine. Next I click on the bottom left hand side of the
document in any view mode and the mouse will jump to the centre of the
document.
If I start Word in safe mode this behaviour goes away. However using Word in
safe mode is not the best way forward for me.
I have checked to see if there are any add-ins running (Tools > Templates
and Add-Ins) but all the list boxes on all the tabs have no entries.
Oh and I am not using a laptop.
Any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Terry.

It is nice to solve your own problems. It gives you a sense of closure LOL ;+)
Well as it turns out I had no mouse! How is this I hear you ask in a shocked
manner.
Well I remote into the PC that uses Word03 using a product called NetOp and
it appears some cheeky monkey in our office stole my mouse. Now that I have
one plugged in I experience no more jumping mice ….mmm sounds like it should
be in a nursery rhyme LOL.
