Mouse Locked up in editing area

Hi

I have gone thru the other posts on this site on this matter and nothing has
worked yet for me.

1. Double clicking a doc file, opens the word 2007 app but the file is not
loaded.
2. Drag drop file into word app, loads the file but mouse buttons (left and
right) does not function in the edit area. In the toolbar they work fine.
3. Tried deleting the Normal.dot,dotx,dotm etc as suggested in some posts...
did not work for me.
4. Opening in Safe Mode works fine. Also ran Diagnostics but no avail.

Please suggest solution.

If it works OK in safe mode, it would point to an incompatible legacy
add-in. See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/ProbsOpeningWord.htm much of
which is still applicable to Office 2007.

thx for the response...

went to the mvps site and tried out all suggested remedies
Still no solution..
And I read I am not the only one....
