mouse movement

Using Word 2K. Never 'seemed' to have this problem before. Have a
multiple page doc and when I use the mouse cursor to move down the page
the system moves so fast to the bottom of the document and then the top
I basically have no control of page movement anymore.

Can I slow this down or change behavior?

Steve, this is the dreaded "rebellious mouse problem."

Possible diagnostic help here:

Also, somehow the vertical scrolling speed of your mouse may have
inadvertently have been set to "fast" or even "turbo," possibly "warp."
Check under Start -- Control panel -- Mouse -- Scrolling.

I also have a troubleshoot option with XP Pro under Start -- Control
panel -- Mouse -- Hardware

Tried both without success. On Start....-- Hardware.... had no Hardware.
However using XP home not pro. Have also done searches under MS and Google.

Anyone???
