Mouse Not Selecting text

I use an wacom tablet Intuos 3. Up till about 4 weeks ago, no issues, but
now in WORD 2007 the mouse does not select any text, nor will the cursor jump
to a point in the page. All works fine in excel/powerpoint/visio etc and
with all other applications, but not word 2007. I have uninstalled and
re-installed word, re-installed all the updates (as of today 385MB of them!).
This is very frustrating and I just need to know if anyone can help me
resolve this issue. Desktop is running vista home premium. My word 2007 on
my laptop under XP Pro runs fine with no issues.

Well, you've posted to the group for Word on the Mac so I doubt we can help
a great deal... Although it sounds like it may be a driver problem. You'll
be better off checking with the PC Word group although they'll probably
steer you toward Wacom:
