Mouse pointer Disappears

Since loading Office 2003, whenever I place the cursor in a text field in Word, excell, access, IE Explorer address bar and fields in web forms, outlook, etc., and this post, the mouse pointer disappears. I have checked to make sure that the "Hide cursor during typing" isn't selected. It isn't. While typing, the cursor blinks at the correct spot, but the mouse pointer isn't visible unless it is positioned outside the field. It does, however, show up over buttons, links etc.
