Mouse pointer "flags"

D

Donald Jacobs

When I move the mouse pointer through a document it sometimes contains a
flag attached to the pointer. The flag does not appear if the pointer
is within the document. It only appears when the pointer is outside the
body of the document and appears represent alignment but it changes as I
move the pointer. What are the "flags" and can they be removed from the
pointer. Searching on-line help has not produced an answer, probably
because I'm using incorrect key words in the search.

Hi Don,

It sounds like the 'click and type' feature
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/CH063550971033.aspx
is activated in Tools=>Options=>Edit in Word.
