Mouse Wheel in MS access 2000

I tried to use my mouse wheel after upgrading to MS
access 2000 and when I go to any of my VB modules via
access, I can't scroll up and down using the wheel mouse.

I upgraded to the lates version of my mouse driver which
is a Microsoft Wheel mouse optical.

I am using Windows XP

Any ideas?

You should be running Intellipoint 4.1 software and have it specifically set
up for the Optical Mouse. Run the Mouse Troubleshooter and it should work
just fine.

Arvin I have tested and determined that the MS Intellimouse Sys Tray app
must be running for the WheelMouse to be recognized within the VB IDE.
This is default setup when you reinstall the Intellimouse Drivers. Win2K
or Win98. I have not tested for XP yet. Does your WheelMouse work with
the app disabled?

Hi Stephen,

I can confirm your observation in Win XP - SP1. The scroll wheel only works
when the app is running in the Systray. I'd never paid attention to it
before because it is always running on my machines.
