mouse wheel scrolling

Just curious... is there any partincular reason that the mouse wheel doesn't
scroll in the code edit window? I've always found this to be pretty
tedious... wondering if there is a setting somewhere to get it to work

It's just designed that way. Look here for the free program called
"FreeWheel" that enables it.

I see the last update was in 1999, so I don't know if it's Vista-compatible,
but I know it works with my WinXP/Access2003 combination.

For the VBA IDE there is a KB article with a downloadable fix

Thanks guys, I didn't actually expect to get an answer on this one. For the
record, Brian, I'm running XP/2003, but I'm going to go try out Tony's link
first in hopes to keep things 'microsoft' related. Thank you both.

It did work originally and then MS updated their mouse driver and broke it.
Then quite a while later they issued a patch that fixed it again. I used to
keep an old copy of the Intellimouse driver CD around for this very reason.
