Mouse Wheel -- Visual Basic

Greetings to All!

I am currently using Access 2003 and I am having a very irritating
problem with the Microsoft Optical Mouse w/Wheel. I have no problem
using wheel on forms, etc, but when I bring up the Visual Basic window,
the wheel will not function. I have to rely on the scroll bars to move
up and down in the window.

Is this a Microsoft 'enhancement' or do I need to re-configure. FYI,
the mouse works on the VB window, but only on the drop down menus in
the toolbar (i.e., Options -> Editor Formal -> Code Colors).

Thanks in advance on your assistance.

I have used a free utility called FreeWheel to address that situation. I
have not had any real problems with it, but as I recall I had to disable it
for a graphics program, as it changed how the mouse wheel worked within that
program. Fortunately the interface is simple and clear. This is not a
blanket endorsement of the product, but rather a statement that it has
worked for me. You may want to do some research before installing it, just
to be on the safe side.
