Project does not have the method to do this like excel does.
In excel you would use

Application.cursor = xlWait

Not sure how you would do it in project.

I was going to cut and paste this for you but network
problems are holding me up. If you download "Analyze Data
in Excel" macro from the MS Project web site it has a
section where they set the cursor to an hourglass.

If you can't get there let me know and I'll cut and paste
it for you.
