Move calendar items

I have two calendars local and exchange... I finally got markspace mostly
working (and thanks to their latest version sync services is OFF!) but it
will only sync w. local calendar (since I have IMAP as default mail,
Entourage then defaults to local calendar and contacts).... I did a dup
check using view all events... Then tried to move (command drag) to the
local calendar... (so that it syncs with correct data) That¹s when I
discovered that the all events view is actually a Search.. And therefore it
was searching BOTH Calendars... As it then DUPLICATED the data once again
(fun wow I had to re-dup check all over again which takes hours...) So
whenever I try to move those items to the local calendar it doesn¹t really
do it... I have tested moving individually (within month view) and it
works but his is tedious and unrealistic when you are dealing with
hundreds of calendar entries... Is there a way to view all calendar items
from 1 calendar (not both) in a list format so that I can command drag them
to the local calendar?

Thanks

Is there a way to view all calendar items from 1 calendar
(not both) in a list format so that I can command drag them to the
local calendar?

Switch to the Calendar view in Entourage and the locate the Calendar
Views in the folder list on the left. Select the All Events view. This
will put all Calendar events from all calendars into a list view. You
can drag and drop from there.

Hope this helps!

As you stated - this is ALL EVENTS -- I need events from one calendar...
This is a search not a view -- so it shows BOTH calendars -- therefore I
cannot move it the items -- it just makes a mess...(and a SERIOUS
duplication error - since apparently entourage is not intelligent enough not
to move something that's ALREADY there...grr). I need to be able to see
ONE calendar not both in the list view. I have already tested this -- All
Events is a search not a view... (it is definitely misnamed in entourage)...
I checked all the search parameters - I cant find a way to search only one
calendar (it defaults to both).. I have been trying to do this for a week
now - so that I can then sync my calendar to my pda (markspace will not sync
the exchange calendar because its not default... I cant make it default
cause I don't want my exchange acct to be default...)..

I have already sent feedback to MS requesting they allow you to specify a
default calendar or address book (separate from the default mail account).

Thanks

You can always make your own Custom View. You're not limited to what you
see.

Also, you'll see a Folder column in a Calendar View. Click on that to
sort items by Calendar.

Hope this helps!

Sorry no - I thought of this and tried it a week ago -- you see you cannot
change the name of a calendar.... And their both named the same "calendar" -
there for the sort is not viable. I checked folder properties - I cannot
rename the exchange calendar - nor the local calendar. (which is another
dumb limitation of entourage... Outlook would say 'Mary's Calendar, Local
Calendar etc" not just calendar)
I tried all sorts of custom view - none seem to give me the ability to
segregate one calendar vs. the other..

You don't need to rename either calendar to identify it.

This should work:

1. File --> New --> Saved Search.
2. Folder Is "Calendar (On My Computer)".
3. Click the Save button and name it appropriately if you want to keep
this under the Calendar Views list on the left.

The "Calendar (On My Computer)" is from a drop down menu and you can
select it or your Exchange Calendar or any other calendar, depending on
your need.

Hope this helps!
