Move copied Recipients mail to their folder

R

Robert Moore

I frequently get emails that are addressed to me and a cc to Dianne.
Both get downloaded from the server because I need to see Dianne's email
also. I want to create a rule that any email with cc: Dianne goes to her
folder and my copy remains in my folder. I created a rule that says
any email sent to Dianne goes to her folder. Since she is copied on my
emails all of that mail goes to Dianne's folder. Even mine because
she's cc'ed. Any suggestions. I'm using Outlook 2003.

I would make two rules. The first one would say that any e-mail addressed to
Dianne should be moved to the Dianne folder. The second rule, underneath the
first, would say that if your name is in the To or CC box, move a copy of the
message to the Inbox. Put "stop processing more rules" at the end of the
second rule, but not on the first rule. If it works right, any e-mail
addressed Dianne would first go to her folder, and then if you are also
addressed, a copy would be moved back to the Inbox. Try it and let me know.
