move e-mail folder to shared network drive

I have an employee that is leaving the company and I need to retain her
e-mails. How do I move them to a shared network drive where I can access
them?

Thank you!

Are you using Personal Folder (PST) files or Exchange Server mailboxes to
hold your office's email?

We are on an exchange server. Can I somehow create a .pst folder on a shared
network drive and then pull it through my own Outlook? Not sure how to do
this, but thought it sounded good :)

I think your mail admin can give you rights to that mailbox so you can open
it directly without export & such.

Actually, she is not leaving the company, she is leaving the department, so
she will still exist in the server. I thought you could copy a folder and
place it in another folder - If I do this, I just need for it to not be
related to her e-mail account any longer.

I could swear there was a way to do this. I guess, how do I just copy
something to back it up to another media?? Maybe that's the better way to
ask.

Thanks again!

Have the Exchange Server admin give you rights on her mailbox, create a
folder in your mailbox for the stuff you want from her, open her mailbox,
copy what you need to the folder in your mailbox, close her mailbox and have
the server admin remove the rights he gave you.
