Move FP2002 web as a .zip file

Quick question, if one were to zip up an entire FP Website on a Win
desktop, with the intention of transferring it to a new computer,
would the clean (new) install of FP2002 open the once zipped Website
and operate properly (picking up all previous Website setting,
including the internet servers password)?

I am aware of the publish live site to desktop approach. In my case it
would be a long drawn out affair. The Website is, shall we say...
SIGNIFICANT.

Thanks

Passwords are stored by Internet Explorer, not by FrontPage.

When you transfer the site, you should do a full publish, either from
the host or to the host. This ensures that all meta data is updated
correctly.

The meta data that transfers with the site is unique to the original
computer - FP will update it for the new computer, but publishing
history may be lost requiring the full publish.

Good Morning Corey:

Thank you and a previous reply from Ronx. I'll see how it goes... God,
I hate changing to new equipment, I guess I'll be glued to the desk
chair for the next couple of days. ;)

Oh... Ronx, if you're still following this thread... which file in IE
contains the passwords? It would be nice to save.

Go here: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/pspv.html and download a copy of.
Protected Storage PassView.

Run it on the old machine and export the user names and passwords.
Copy the file to the new machine and run Protected Storage PassView and
import them to the new machine.
