Move from FileMakerPro to Access end in Excel

I have a FileMaker Pro 5.0 file that needs to end in an Excel Spreadsheet.

To do this wouldn't I first have to move data from the FileMakerPro file to
an Access database...then convert it over Excel?

Export the FileMaker table to comma-delimited text file, then import the
text file into an EXCEL file.

I do not know what a "comma-delimited text file" is...however they did
request it be placed in "text format, preferrably tab delimited" file. Again
I did not know what that meant so I was going to place it in the Excel
spreadsheet they also gave me.

So if you can explain "text format, tab delimited file" to me...or what type
of file/program would that be that would be a help?

Export as the delimited file option that you note... then you can open a new
EXCEL file, and go to File menu to import that text file. A wizard in EXCEL
will then lead you through the settings for the file format, and using a
delimiter of Tab is one of the options.

"now" i have something to work with on monday! thank you... (i actually can't
wait to get back to it...strange thought... :-> )

As I think back to EXCEL, I think you will use File | Open, select "Text
files" as file type option, and navigate to the text file (Import is in
ACCESS).
