Move Outlook to new computer

J

John Robinson

I have been unable to move my Outlook settings to a new
computer although I was able to move them from an earlier
computer to the second one. I've been to Slipsitck - no
help. Old puter running XP home version 2002 SP1 NT. New
puter same except regular Windows not NT. Was running OL98.
I have brought over the .pst file. It was in Winnt folder.
Put it in the Windows folder in the new puter and then
moved it to any folder I thought might work. Nothing!! I
have tried OL97, OL98 and OL2000. None of them show my old
settings. I do not use OL to send or receive email but
didn't on the old computer so this should not matter.

Anyone have any ideas as to what my problem is?

Thanks
John

All you should have to do is open your .PST file in Outlook via File |
Open...

What settings are you talking about here?

Setting - contacts, calender etc. Tried the file - open and
it doesn't work.

What are the symptoms of "it doesn't work"? Error messages?
