Move selection after enter

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel In the windows version of Excel (2003), you can dictate the selection after hitting the enter key. In the windows version you go to TOOLS>OPTIONS>EDIT TAB> MOVE SELECTION AFTER ENTER. This will allow you to dictate if the cursor moves right, left, up, or down after hitting the enter key. I don't seem to find this option in the MAC 2008 version. Any ideas?

On the Mac, the preferences are on the Application menu.

In this case, in Excel>Preferences>Edit...

goto Excel>preferences>Edit>
> After pressing return..........

Thanks Mungo. My setup shows the default to go "down". If I am in an unprotected file, the cursor does move down. If the file is protected, the cursor moves to the right and the next unprotected cell and not down. Any ideas?

Did the protected sheet originate in a Windows version of Excel? If so there
are additional protection schemes that prevent selecting protected cells...
Can you click to select the same cells which are being avoided by return?
