Move upgrade office 2000 to new XP machine

I have a new XP machine to which I will be migrating everything from my old
2000 machine. This includes an upgrade version of Office 2000 Pro (upgrade
from full Office 97). I'd like to end up with Office XP upgrade. Is there a
way to do this without first installing Office 97, then 2000, then XP? Thanks

When installing the latest Office upgrade version, start the installation
and when it asks for a qualifying product, put the QP in the CD drive. Once
it is recognized, take it out, put back your Office upgrade version and
continue the installation. Remember, always keep your qualifying products
since they are out of production and Microsoft cannot replace them.
