Move Windows Live Mail to Outlook pst file

D

Dellboy

All,

I have a customer who has a windows live (hotmail) account that keeps
locking her out. Not surprisingly, she now wants to leave hotmail and take
all her stuff with her (e-mails and contacts). I have scoured the internet
and not found a suitable solution to do this.

Can anyone tell me how to export the e-mails and contacts from Hotmail into
a pst file so that when the next e-mail system is set up in Outlook for her,
she can access all her old mails and contacts. It seems Microsoft has tried
to make this impossible to do (once a hotmailer, always a hotmailer?)

Many thanks

Phil

You can simply use Export from within Windows Live Mail or use the Outlook
Connector to directly download your items from Hotmail into Outlook.

Dear Phil,

I agree with Robert's suggestions and we may follow the steps below:

1. Use the Export feature in Options of Windows Live Mail to export
contacts as a CSV file.
2. Import the CSV file into Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007.

or

1. Configure your Hotmail account in Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007 via
Outlook Connector Tool.
2. Synchronize Contacts information from the Hotmail Server via Outlook
Connector to Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007 locally.
3. Copy all emails and Contacts information from your Hotmail account to
Outlook folders.

To download Outlook Connector, please access the link below:

Best regards,

Hello,

You can also use http://www.convert.emltooutlook.net/ This tool is well known as Kernel for EML to PST Converter Tool,It's helpful in conversion of MLor EMLX files created using e-mail clients such as Mozilla Thunderbird, Windows Live Mail, Apple Mail, and Microsoft Outlook Express into the MS Outlook importable PST file.
