I use the Journal to store e-mail typically by subject. I will move an
e-mail to the journal by right clicking and dragging the file to the Journal
and selecting "Move Here As Journal Entry With Attachment" and it starts a
new Journal entry with that E-mail attached. It deletes it from the Inbox or
Sent folding since it "MOVED" it. No problem there.
The problem is when I want to add additional related e-mails to that Journal
entry. I open the Journal entry and I used to be able to just click and drag
the e-mail I wanted to add to the open Journal entry and it would MOVE it.
Therefore it would move to the Journal entry and delete from the Inbox or
Sent folder. No matter what I do, it only COPIES the file which means it
still leaves a copy in the Inbox or Outbox. Even if I Right-Click and drag
the file and select MOVE FILE it still only COPIES. This is driving me nuts.
I start to organize a lot of files and I can't remember which ones I put in
the journal since they only COPY and not MOVE.
PLEASE HELP! WHY IS IT DOING THIS?
This used to work in Outlook 2003 and below. It is only since I have been
running Outlook 2007. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!
