Movie Insert in Power Point 2002 - choppy play in full screen mode

I am trying to include video clips in a power point presenation (Version
2002). In the same presentation, the first movie insert (an mpeg) plays
fine. A few slides later, I inserted a wmv movie file, which is choppy and
does not complete when played in full screen mode. I have tried a moving all
files and clips to a short file (C:\ppt\...), reducing hadrware acceleration
setting and installing PFC Media. Nothing seems to help. Any suggestions?

Where did the wmv come from? What is its original size in pixels?

I am not sure of the original source, I received the 30 second video clip as
an e-mail attachment from a friend. The original size in pixels is 320 x 240.

Ah, the old "mystery" source. <g> One thing to note is that if you play a
small video (320x240) at fullscreen it will cause the sorts of issues you
are seeing as it is being resized "on the fly". How does it play if left at
its original size?

Do I have any options here?

What about a compromise?
What it you re-size the clip in powerpoint to somewhere between full screen
and 320x240. Then there's less for your PC to think about?

Also the file may need 'defragging' (so the computer can read the data back
quickly)

If you have PFCPro installed (free trial) you can set the size you want when
it is processed instead of trying to do it during the presentation.

Can you tell me how I re-size the clip...from what I can tell, the original
screen size (320 X 240) is the smallest option I have, which does not play in
full screen. Also..I know how to de-frag the entire hard drive (which I have
done) but how do I de-frag an individual file?

For some reason, I could not install PFCPro trial version, but do have
PFCMedia trial installed. I cannot locate an option to resize the media clip
when the power point presentation is in full screen mode. Any suggestions?
