Movies/animations pause with loss of focus

If you change focus from a running presentation to another application, any
movie or animation that is playing gets paused. Is there a setting or
something in the API that can be set to allow movies and animations to
continue playing even when the presentation window doesn't have focus?

I assume there's something, because if you enable the presenter view, you
can switch to that and the movies and animations play on. I, however, am
trying to use something other than the presenter view.

Note: I'm using PPT 2003 on XP.

Look at PowerShow add-in from
http://officeone.mvps.org/powershow/powershow.html - it allows you to work
on something else while your slide shows are running on other monitors.

Thanks. Yeah, I've seen PowerShow. I'm writing a tool similar to it, but I'm
stuck on this issue. I'd love to know how they handle it.
