movies in powerpoint office xp

I created a slideshow with movies appearing
automatically in 2000 but in XP the movies stop just
short of the end.I have tried saving as 2000 and been all
around the tools on Xp-any help please?

It's probably a different system, right? PowerPoint doesn't really control
timing because the speed of some actions, including reading and loading
slides, is dependent upon system resources. So your presentation will run
at a slightly different pace on various systems. It all depends on the
available memory, available disk space, disk speed, processor speed, other
tasks running, and whether you're running anti-virus software. It is always
best, when possible, to create the presentation on the system it will be run
on, if you are relying on synchronization. For presentations that will be
distributed, it is best to design the presentation without any timing
dependencies if possible.
