movies will not play

I am using a new computer with Centrino 1.5Mhz processor, 512 RAM, 100G HD,
Intel Extreme graphics video card and am trying to view a presentation that I
created on a different computer with similar specs. The only difference is
that the presentations were created in MS OFFICE 2002 and I am now trying to
view and edit them in MSOFFICE 2003. When I try to play the videos in the
presentation, I get a white screen where the video is supposed to be playing.
The videos work outside of powerpoint in media player without a problem. All
of the videos are .mpg or .mpegs. Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated.

It sounds like the path to the files is too long. Try moving everything to
C:\Test and then delete and reinsert the videos and test again. Do they play?

Files saved on your Desktop, or in My Documents, start out with a long path - -
C:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop - C:\Documents and Settings\user\My
Documents\My Videos. Then consider the file name length plus any sub-folders
and they can soon exceed 128 characters.
