Moving a database

Don

How do I create an Access 2002 database at home then burn
it on a CD and take it to work and work on it? I have
tried to burn one and it creates a read only copy. Is
there a way to move a copy of the database to another
computer and make changes to it?

Don,

You can transport a database back and forth via CD; however, the normal
behavior when copying an Access database to a CD is that it becomes
read-only. You will have to copy the database to your hard drive and using
Windows Explorer re-set the Read Only Property. An alternative, if the
database is not too large, is to use a utility like WinZip to compress the
file and email it to your personal email account.
