Moving Activated one note to a different computer

Hi All,

I recently purchased a one note 2007 product key and activated my
copy on work destop. Unfortunately because of the company policy, I
need to move it to my personal laptop.

I was wondering if uninstalling Onenote from office PC will deactivate
the copy also so that when I install and use the same product key, it
will allow me to activate Onenote copy on my laptop. Or is there any
other way of doing it.

Please help. I did my bit of googling and suprisingly I seem to be
alone with this problem.

Thanks
Abhi

1. There is no "deactivation" at all
2. What you want to do is legal
3. If your Onenote is a "Home and Student"-Edition you have 3 licences.
That means, you may install it on 3 computers
4. Otherwise you will get in trouble at the 2nd installation. But the
activation procedure will inform you; and give you a phone number of MS,
where you can explain your situation.

Thanks Bernd!

I guess the only way is to call up microsoft and ask for their
permission to move....
The Onenote I have allows only for 1 license.
