Moving archive.pst to network

M

Millie

I want to move all of my users' archive.pst file from their Win98 and Win2000
computers to individual folders on a shared network drive on the Windows 2000
server.

When copying the archive.pst file from the computer and pasting to the
network, I get the following error message: "Cannot copy archive. Access is
denied. The source file maybe in use". Please not that the Outlook program is
not open during the copy and paste.

The permissions on the network are as follows:

1. Email Archival folder
- shared out to Everyone (Read)
- Security Tab properties: Administrator & specific user
(all allowed boxes are selected, no deny boxes are selected)

2. Individual User folders beneath the Email Archival folder
- Security Tab permissions: Administrator & specific user
(all allowed boxes are selected, no deny boxes are selected)
- the "Allow inheritable permissions from parent to propagate
to this object" box is not selected.

Does anyone know how I can move the archive.pst file from the computers to
the network?

Thank you,
Millie
