moving auto correct settings to another computer

Hi. I use Office 2008 on two different computers and want to keep my auto correct settings synchronized between the two machines. I assume these are kept in a preference file, but which one is it? Thanks.

I have been trying to find this out for you, and getting nowhere.

They moved in Office 2008: I think they are in the Normal.dotm template,
which by default is in each user's folder:
/Users/~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft/Office/User Templates/

However, it's best to search for it, because a user can put it anywhere they
like.

Cheers

Forgot I'm supposed to be updating that article-- it's here:

UserName/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office 2008/Microsoft Office ACL

I don't see a provision to move AutoCorrect, John?

Actually, rbarline--I forgot--if you have created Formatted
AutoCorrects, they will be in the Normal.dotm template. Regular
autocorrects are in the file location I posted.

Hi Daiya:

Neither do I.

But they can move the Normal template anywhere they like, and I thought in
Office 2008 all the AutoCorrects were in Normal??

Cheers

May be duplicating here, but formatted AutoCorrects are stored in
Normal.dotm. Unformatted AutoCorrects are stored in the

Microsoft Office ACL [English]

(or whatever language) file in the

~:Library:preferences:Microsoft:Office 2008:

folder (where ~ is the home directory).

Thanks all you gurus. You're all great! I was able to sync my autocorrect entries using the ACL file.
