History:
I was using Office 2000 Pro with Outlook on my computer. For some reason,
Outlook 2000 stopped talking to my cell phone using ActivSync. The message
box said a newer version of Outlook was now needed.
I'd been thinking of upgrading Office, so I bought and installed a
standalone verison Outlook 2007.
Simply from a useability perspective, that was a big mistake on my part.
Although MS's "Is your computer Vista capable" utility said my computer will
run Vista, Outlook 2007 has shown itself to be excruciatingly slow. I
suspect it's all due to the fancy graphics ribbon and crap that's not needed.
I've not found anything in Outlook 2007 to be useful to me.
Now:
I did upgrade to Office 2003 recently, but didn't install the Outlook
component.
Since Outlook 2007 is so slow, and can't scroll properly when writing
replies to new messages, I want to revert back to Outlook 2003.
I want to confirm what I read in another thread about this idea, with this
one question (at the moment) about the change.
If I completely uninstall Outlook 2007, then pop in the Office 2003 Pro CD
and ask to add Outlook 2003 to the computer, will all of my emails and
folders from Outlook 2007 be retained?
Thanks.
