Hi all

If I upgrade from outlook 2003 to outlook 2007 and I have several Birthdays
set from the birth date ie: 1929 will they still show correctly in outlook
2007?

Thanks
Andy

Sure, as long as they were not born before Sunday April 1, 1601 then it's no
problem for Outlook as long as they don't become older than 2899 years old
though ;-)

If you perform the upgrade properly, nothing will change in the data so they
should look fine.

Thanks Roady & Brian

I think i'm just being a little cautious as I have never moved data from one
calendar to another before and would hate to lose anything.

I have read that in some cases the data would be transferred in blocks of
Ten years which could mess with Birthday dates. (maybe ref was to do with a
different calendar)

Make a backup by copying your PST to a second folder. Be sure Oultook is
closed when you do. If you install Outllook 2007 over the top of Outlook
2003, the installer should detect the prior version and allow you to
upgrade, making all your data available in the new version. It doesn't
always work correctly, though, so you may have to start with a new mail
profile if the old data isn't there.

Where did you read that? It's simply not true for Outlook.

Hi Brain

I think it was something to do with old MSN Calendar info moving to windows
live calendar??
I can't remember how I got to this info, but I just needed confirmation that
this would not happen in outlook.

Thanks
Andy
