Moving custom categories from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003?

To move your custom categories you have to copy the data from your old
registries MasterList to your new registries MasterList. The problem is that
Microsoft changed the format of the registry entry from a REG_SZ (re ascii
string) in Outlook 2000 to a REG_BINARY (re hex with embedded 00's) in
Outlook 2003.

Does anyone have a way to convert custom categories from Outlook 2000 to
Outlook 2003 (re ascii string to hex conversion with embedded 00's)?
