Moving Entourage mail addresses from one MAC to another MAC

Version: 2004
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel
Email Client: pop

I have a MAC G4 which is acting a bit flaky and am trying to move address info on Entourage over to a MAC G5. The G4 is OS 10.4.11 and the G5 is OS 10.5.2. Both are using Entourage 2004 for MAC, Version 11.4.0.

Is there an easy way to transfer/copy/import the address book data from one MAC to another? Am I missing something ( I am not very expert in computers)?

Thanks,

Provided that both Macs are using exactly the same version of Entourage, you
can simply copy the following folder ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data ("~"
stands for your user account) from one Mac to the other. The folder needs to
be put in exactly the same location (~/Documents), and Entourage must not be
running while ou are transferring the folder. After that, you should be able
to open Entourage on your G5 and have access to your data.

Hi Ed,

How to Export contacts?

File => Export => Contacts
Starting with Entourage 2004 you can export as an Entourage archive file
(.rge)

Now on your new machine
Click on file import and select the first option "import information from an
Entourage archive"
Select the file and click import

Hope that help.

thanks,

Pawan
