Moving files named in RD codes

I am building a table of contents from separate “chapter†files. When I
created the front matter file containing the TOC, I set up all the inserted
field codes to “Path is relative.â€

If the front matter and all chapter files referenced by the RD codes all get
moved together to a new directory, will this “break†the TOC, requiring
rebuilding? Further, is there any other “fallout†I should know about if
files are moved?

This is new turf for me and I don’t want things to blow up when we are in
scramble mode to publish the final content.
